Scribe's Notes

3 December, 2007.


Our meeting this week started at Worthington Fire Station, where two of the firefighters talked to us about Fire Safety.

In attendance were Nick H., Jarrod, Jonathon, Adrian, Joe, Josh, AJ, Robert and Jude.


We learned the importance of a fire plan, how to deal with smoke and fire in a house or other building, and the difficulties

you can face in a burning building.


We had a look at the various emergency vehicles parked ready in the station. We saw the Jaws of Life equipment and other gear in some of the vehicles. It was really interesting.


We then went to our usual meeting place at St. John's, but left immediately to distribute flyers around Worthington asking people to donate food to the St. John's food pantry next week.


We finished about 9:00 p.m. after a busy and interesting evening.
