Summer Court of Honor

On Sunday, September 9, Troop 268 held its Summer Court of Honor at Selby Park.
We started with a cook-out, followed by dessert!

The Court of Honor started with our Flag Ceremony.

The Troop Committee Chair, Mr. Morris, welcomed everyone.

Josh, our Senior Patrol Leader, delivered the SPL's Minute.

Life
Merit Badges were awarded



Scouts and adults that had been to summer camp were recognized with patches, knots and photographs.



Two scouts both completed the Mile Swim twice at Summer Camp and received their patches.

Ian received the certificate for his Pathfinder Award.

Nick received his World Conservation Award.

Because the Troop has been continuosuly chartered for over 30 years, troop members can wear a 30-year
Veteran Unit bar, and these were presented to the scouts and adult leaders.


The adult leaders recently completed training for committee positions, and were awarded 'Trained' patches.

Joe and Nick recently participated in the Eagle Feather youth leadership training course, and were
recognized at the Court of Honor.

Mr. Morris, Mr. Krajnak and Josh were recognized for their contribution to the success of the Troop, and
were presented with the troop's Signal Award for outstanding service to the Troop.

Mr. Krajnak presented his Scoutmaster's Minute.

Nick closed the Court of Honor.

At this Court of Honor, a total of eight rank levels were advanced by six scouts.
Scouts earned a total of 39 individual merit badges, comprising 24 different types of merit badges,
10 of which are Eagle-required.
In addition, 10 adult leaders were awarded a 'Trained' patch, and 9 scouts and 4 adult leaders spent a
total of two weeks at Summer Camp.
This was a big Court of Honor, honoring substantial achievements by scouts and adult leaders
in BSA Troop 268.
