Advancement Night, May 21, 2007.
A significant part of boy scouts is learning new skills. In many cases, this happens outdoors, while camping, hiking or canoeing, but sometimes it helps to cover the fundamental ideas before we put them into practice. On Monday, May 21, 2007, Troop 268 spent some time working on specific skills, in particular the rules of safe hiking.
Here are some photos of the scouts at work, and also having a break outside (the best part)!

Of course, no boy scout can get by without knowing about knots! Here Josh is explaining about some basic knots, as well as lashings, wraps and fraps!
